The founder and CEO, Johnnie Mae Parker, answered the call to ministry and was ordained as a deacon in 2002 and licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in September 2007. She received her Masters of Arts of Biblical Studies with a concentration in Theology in 2014 from Lancaster Bible College's Capital Seminary, formerly known as Capital Bible Seminary. Minister Parker also holds a BS in Physics from Norfolk State University.
Ms. Parker serves as the Minister of Christian Education at Heritage Fellowship Church, Reston, VA, having oversight of the Bible Institute, the Creative Arts Ministry, the New Members and Greeters Ministry, the Nursery and Sunday School at Heritage Fellowship Church. She also teaches many of the Bible Institute classes.
Previously, Prison Fellowship (PF) Ministries was where she used her gifts and talents. She was initially responsible for the overall design and content of the Bible courses and other materials used in the various seminars and trainings for the inmates and volunteers who served the inmates and ex-offenders employed Minister Parker. After four years, she transitioned from the Training and Learning Services Department to become the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) in the Information and Technology (IT) department. Her primary responsibilities entailed being engaged in the reengineering, designing, developing and implementing of PF IT systems. The PMO works in conjunction with the Enterprise Systems team, and partners with all the ministry leaders at PF; to assist with the gathering of requirements, building and reviewing Request for Proposals (RFP), and managing vendors.
